Shaving door handles?
I am considering shaving my door handles...I am looking for some places that sell the poppers and all necessary hardware to complete the install, does anyone know of any places???
I see no one wants to help you so here it goes ............. the "popers " you refer
to are just actuators for the door locks (you can get them at any stereo shop
but if you have a swap meet around then go there cuz there stereo shops give
ya a better deal ...oh and they should only be about 20 bucks a peice) take off
the door panel and take out the door handle and leave the rod
that goes
to the door latch on and the lock one take it off (throw it away ?) mount the
actuator on the back side of the door brace and line it up to point at the latch
once you get it all adjusted (instructions in the box should help ya a little and
if not go to a good alarm installer and he should know exactly how to do it) but
the first thing to do is get an alarm so you can use your functions to open the
doors .... and if you plan to weld metal plates in the handle locations and then
fill it weld slow and cool it down with water and wet rags to keep the panel from
distorting .....all is pretty simple so there you go !!!!!!!
Hope that helps ya!

working in those tight spaces to mount the actuators is a B****. Try AutoLoc.com, but they can be a bit pricey...not sure how much others sell them for. I recomend the 35lb kits, but they're $75 bucks a pop.
Oh, I only recomend doing this to a show car ONLY where the car would be sitting in the garage with the windows open a little bit, just in case the battery dies or something fails. Daily driving with shaved handles would be unsafe!! So think twice, no 10 times before you decide to do this.
Goodluck.
