Need Help installing Suspension
Im in the process of installing my Pro Kit/Kyb Agx's , I need to know how much i should tighten the locking nut on top of the shock.
And how much should i torque down the bolts on the Fork 17mm bolt and on top of the fork 14mm.
Also i need to know how much to torque down the top bolts in the front and the rear.
Thanks for all your help. ( I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT A HELMS

1) get settable torque wrench
2) drive to acura dealer
3) buy shop manual

But he is right. I agree. Or just order a Helms and wait. Best investment ever!
Ok, i thought that someone on this board would know. Im sure there are many people who have installed their own suspensions. I just finished puting together the front, but i cant put my wheels on , until i have torqued down all the bolts to their specs. And i do have a settable torque wrench. Plus its 10:30 pm ,if you know an Acura dealer thats OPEN right now please tell, because I would sure like to know.
Well usually I just tighten as tight as possibly using a normal socket wrench with out overly doing it, but here's some specs for a Civic (yeah I said Civic, but it should be pretty close). If you're in a hurry to get done, these should help until a Teg person lends some info.
Top of shock locking nut: 22 lb-ft
Fork 17mm: 47 lb-ft
Damper Pinch Bolt: 32 lb-ft
Top of shock bolts: 36 lb-ft

when it comes to torque specs unless were dealing with internal engine stuff i usually dont regard them too heavily, ive never torqued spark plugs or oil plugs or pretty much anything ive ever done, just dont be an ape when you tighten it down and you should be safe, but if you really feel the need to have everything torqued to exact specs then follow my previous post
I agree. When I work on my car, change parts etc., I usually just tighten as tight as it seems like it should go. Generally, if you go back and check tq specs with what you just tightened its not that far off. And sometimes may be a little more than necassary.
