OT: Finally dyno'd the Turbo Pig
Went down to Charlotte last night, surprised to see Andy (Hooch) and D at Willard's pad when I got there. Much to see there - Yack and Bill installing a turblow, Willard throwing some goodies on Yung's (SP?) R, and D and Hooch standing around pounding beers. Bef and I polished off 21 Booshlaats and called it a night.
Got up this morning and headed over to the dyno day hosted by Yack and Bob (300+ whp Miata
). After seeing another turblow Miata (with Tec 3 standalone :drool: ) make about 15 runs, we got the Pig up on the rollers.

A little lower than I was hoping for, but then again, I discovered that I'm not running as much boost as I thought. The Defi is showing peaks above 1 bar, but I thought that was sustained. Turns out I'm really around 0.8 bar or so, with a spike up to 1 bar (saw as high as 1.12 on the rollers). Gotta find a way to get more boost without spending crazy loot on the IPD ECU or a standalone system.
No torque, because I (being the dumbass that I am) forgot to bring tools to pull off the engine cover bits so Yack could get to the rpm stuff (coil-on-plug ignition). Should be able to calculate that out later.
Oh, and proof that Cabarrus County doesn't like me:

One of NC's finest got me for 70 in a 55 on the way to Willard's. I was lucky though - I was passing someone (2-lane), and ran out of passing zone. If he had come around 5 seconds earlier, he would have clocked me at 90

Well. peak number wasnt high as me and Willard thought, but plot look good.

I got mine on I-85 during the NOPI Tour for "following too closely". He singled me out because I was the last in line of about 100 CARS that were FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY because we were ON A TOUR. I told him that and basically he told me to shut the **** up and that he didnt "give a ****" in a dumb redneck accent. Then I tried to send in my fine, and they sent it back, saying that "the officer wrote the incorrect amount on the ticket" and then tried to say it was late and wanted to add another $50 to the fine, in which case it was not late. Basically I called the clerk, told him and the court to **** off, and refuse to pay. [sarcasm]Im scared they may suspend my right to drive in NC[/sarcasm]
