I had it done with this closed-loop section, but you'd probably just have it taken off and sealed.

It's for a Drag III B18C kit.

will that DP clear the AC compressor on a B18C1

 

My understanding is that yes the black downpipe was made to clear the A/C.
The only thing is that the closed loop portion for the wastegate dump tube should be placed farther downstream to avoid boost creep and spikes (which are also due to the Drag III manifold wastegate placement).

I'm trying to get Dave to make up another one or two of the other "special" closed loop DP's, but as yet he's not gotten back to me and I don't even have a price for the nice SS setup. It's going to get coated before we use it.
