Default HCP vs HaSport... (Mounts Topic)

I know it's you "Get what you pay for" from what most people are saying ... but a lot of people are recommending HCP due to price, someone posting a link of HCP + Linkage for $325, vs HaSport mounts + Linkage being $500

what would you guys say about HCP mounts and linkage? I want my stuff to last, but don't want to spend an extra $175+ for a name... let's get some opinions

both companys will stand behind there products if you have a problem with them. Go with what you want. I've used both companys for customers and I would go where I got the best deal. Goodluck

I just have to say I like my hasport mounts. They position the engine perfect, good polyurathain bushings and they just look good.

i just realized the post is about HCP and Hasport, not Place racing and Hasport.
If it bothers anybody, I'll delete my post

Disclaimer.
i am not associated with Hasport, nor Place racing.

I find the front engine mount in the Place racing mounts, the biggest joke around.
I have installed about 4 or 5 B16's in EFs with those mounts and the front mount is damn nearly impossible to use. If you manage to get the mount to line up with the bracket on the crossmember, then try to put a full size bolt through it!
and have room for the head and thread plus a wrench to tighten it.
by the time I am done grinding, hammering, drilling, there is so little left of that bracket that it really does nothing.
About Place's engine placement, what's the big deal? I say if the Hasport mounts were installing the engine in the wrong location, you would be snapping axles left and right, but you don't.
I have used both, and I still preffer the Hasport mounts, vibration is not as bad as the place mounts. One more note. I have done a few (3) hydro tranny installs on CRX's with the Hasport mounts. Very easy to convert the tranny mount (welding required) and the location of the engine lets the slightly bigger Bseries hydro tranny fit there without having to bang the engine bay. Can you do the same with the Place mounts?
About the shift linkage. Last time I used Place racing's, it was a US CRX linkage
that was cut and rewelded to somewhat work like the B series shift linkage.
I personally don't like the "ghostly" feeling that linkage gives you.
Hasport linkage is a true B series linkage that is cut to length, not shape.
It gives you a more accurate feel when shifting.
Enough said.

so it really does sound like hasport might be better off, not that I was considering place racing .. but guess I can sacrifice $100, can anyone find a cheaper price than $379 for the mounts and $149 for the linkage? that is pricey!

I've had my Hasport mounts for 6 months and cant say anything bad about it...especially the new billet ones, they say is 1/2 inch taller which gives your axles a better angle and higher header clearance too. A few months ago, I didnt realize that my rear mount bolt came loose and I've been driving without it for quite some time...Didnt even notice any vibrations. Both front mounts held on and kept my motor in place. Hasport mounts and shift linkage

Well I have the HCP mounts in my rex and I think they're great. The engine placement is fine, and I can close my hood without any rubbing .

I went with the HCP MM kit. It has 4 mounts instead of 3. HCP

I think the only thing that matters is that both companies offer a lifetime warranty on these products.

I'm sorry but spaceballs you must have place racing mounts confused with the hcp!! Cuz the hcp is the only kit that sells a kit with the front mount!! Place only offers the front mount if you buy their crossmember!!
