Default Exhaust piping heatshield removal, is it safe?

The heatshield rattles against my apex pipe so god damn much I'm sick and tired of it. I've tried to bend the heatshield out of the way but there's always a rattle. The heatshield seems to be covering the brake lines that go to the rear brakes, is it safe to remove this?

should be fine, i know tons of people whove done it, you probably wont be doing much off-roading so the lines should be safe

There is not alot of weight savings in removing the heat shields. But I would remove it in a heart beat if it was causing a rattling.

Well... in my attempts to remove the lower exhaust heatshield I ended up just using some sheet metal shears to cut off the part that was rattling.

I couldn't access the 2 bolts directly above the resonator (stripped one of them) so this will have to do for now. If that bitch rattles I'm going to trade my damn car in for a WRX

hehe.

I removed mine. Three days later a piece of cardboard off the road got caught up there and my car burned to the ground. My sister was trapped inside screaming for me to save her but all I could do was watch as her skin melted from her skeleton.

Ok maybe I made that up. I think you should be fine.
