You will definitely free up around 10hp with an intake on a V6 accord.

What kind of mpg do u get now? Keep an eye on it after the intake is installed. Its not brain surgery. Depends alot on your driving style.

An Cold Air Intake will definetely help that v6 breathe. I dont exactly what gains you will see.. somewhere around 8hp? I dont know. But there is no doubt it will increase your gas mileage.. not a dramatic change.. but definetly go for it. My friend loves his AEM C.A.I on his accord v6.

about whp3 you'll be getting.
alittle bit better on gas mileage if you dont gun it down all the way
all the time.

my friend who drving a exv6 00' had a short ram too.
it's mucho loud for some reason.

yeah it seems the j30 gains more than the 4 cylinders when it comes to bolt ons, 3-4 whp sounds about right. make sure you reset your ecu though, if you don't you will get crappy performance and mileage, although the ecu will adjust itself after a while but its better to do it manually and immediately.

to reset the ecu, just unplug the negative on the battery for 5 min, connect the battery, start it up and let it idle for 5-7 minutes, and turn it off. the next time you start your car your ecu will be fully reset. make sure to have all appliances off and dont rev the car.

so should i get a CAI or ram aem intake? and if i do install it will it weaken my transmission or engine? cause thats what i have heard, is it true?

I also have something off topic to ask, im planing to get new tires for my accord and was wondering what brand of tires is best and what type of rims match my silver accord.
thanks.

it won't hurt your engine. your lead food is what will hurt the engine. you are only letting it breathe more so don't worry about engine damage.

about the tires, i'm strait falken tires all the way. love em

A CAI will not harm any part of your motor or transmission. The only thing that could go wrong is that you run into a big pile of water and suck it up. Just be careful.

Only problem with an intake on the v6 is that it sounds so nice you can't keep your foot off the gas so you end up getting worse gas milage.

CAI would be better to get than Short Ram, it would have better gains since the CAI uses cold air from outside of the engine where Short Ram uses air from inside of the engine which is generally pretty warm/hot. The only thing you have to worry about is cutting into your wheelbase to install the CAI and may be water/snow other junk getting into it. But that's not really a huge thing to worry about since the hole can easily be filled and isn't too large, plus if you put a sufficient cover near your filter or a mud flap than you should have no worries.

for 01-02 accord coupe, the spot is perfect for CAI.
there's a big *** vent right infront of the filter
I have a ghetto rag intake on my legend. it sounds like a mustang.
