Default anyone low 13's/high 12's all motor?

I know theres a couple that are...did you hit these times on street tires? what kind of HP were you puttin down at the wheels? were you using the stock 1.8 built or did you go to a 2l block? just curious and yes i did a search..recent and archived, but all i turned up were a few people posting thier times, but didnt answer my questions. Any input would be great.

oh yea, if anyone wants to host them, i just visited my new block and head from Jeff at Import Builders at my local acura dealership and have a few pics of the 2l.

youll probably have to be around 210-220 at the wheels to get into the low 13s...but with slicks and maybe a JDM or ATS FD you might be able to break 12s with around 220hp. It depends a LOT on traction. When you get that kinda HP at the wheels, traction becomes a huge issue. Lots of circumstances come into play so its hard to guess. Im just generalizing on what I have seen in the past. You should be able to get it with the 1.8L block, you dont need 2L to do it. But obviously a little more torque from the 2L might make things a little easier.

Yeah i can see traction being a huge issue...its also alot of driver IMO, ITR times seem to really be different between different people and they seem to be touchy with weather and elevation also, if its very hot it seems to lose alot of performance....

MPH did it with less than 200 hp. he ran a 13.4 on slicks. actually he put down like 197. So you don't have to have that much power to run those times.

I remember incognito got high 12s with around 190ish HP on slicks. I forgot what his exact HP was; probably like high 190s.

I run a 13.7@100mph with just and intake and a header on street tires. I just recently put in an Action Kevlar clutch and Fidanza flywheel. Skunk II stage one cams are on there way as well. With this setup and slicks I should be low 13 second capable but since I will be on street tires I am shooting for a 13.5.

My time below was with 206 hp at the wheels. 1.8L. Car was dying off up top, so we will see if I have fixd that this season...

I have a 2000 gsr with a jun head package and ecu and i mannaged to hit a 13.5at100mph on a stock clutch and on street tires,i didnt dyno the car yet but some of the numbers that ppl are posting are rediculous cuz i know that im nowhere near 220hp. i know a guy that hit 12.9 with a type r motor with a similar set up that i have +a clutch, fly wheel, and lsd on street tires and he had his car dynoed at 212hp at the wheel with open header

Yeah I would definitely get dynoed because your trap isn't very high. If I can do that with just an intake and header something is up. Still a 13.5 is a 13.5 so you are making power somewhere.

13.6 all motor, first and only run on slicks. 199.6 to the wheels. Some practice and tuning, low 13's easy. New motor should put me close to the 12's.
