injen vs AEM
on the B18c (JDM GS-R) engine, what are the differences between the AEM and Injen? a friend of mine has the injen and loves it, but the aem is a few bucks cheaper. Just wondering if they are pretty similar in performance? dyno charts would be helpful
thanks!

Pretty much nothing but the brand from what I have read. I don't believe they even have a different diameter. I would just get which ever one is cheapest if you've narrowed it down to just those two.

Why not just get the injen shortram with CAI extention? That way you can convert for summer and winter.
What injen intake is $209? The race division one?

I'm sure they would dyno w/ very minimal differences. personal preference is the key phrase for this post. i have the injen short ram. i got the cold air extension then there was a hole in it about a month later. so i went back to short ram. a lot of my friends have the aem cai...a lot of them have injen. both are good intakes.
imo injen is better. you can get a short ram w/ a cai extension so you can switch from cai to short ram easily. w/ aem i believe you have to cut the cai to do this. also imo injen looks really tight.
as far as performance ive heard that injen does better by one - two hp. but thats in certain conditions (weather and whatnot). so basically, they're similiar. im going w/ injen but theres not much of a difference between these 2 intakes, and between all the other intakes out there.

I personally like Iceman intakes, have one on my 2k1 neon, but the injen sounds the best for me.......I don't like the design of the new AEM V2........i pretty sure that injen is the choice!

The skyrocketed prices you guys are talking about are MSRP (Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price). In actuallity the prices have not changed. The prices are enforced so the parts aren't whored out. I don't think many people actually pay MSRP. *If the extension got a whole in it, why not send it in for warranty. Contact info@injen.com and I am sure that they will help you out.
