Spoon Progressive spring question
OK, I've just recieved my spoon springs and after reading the review of the stock shock life Im kinda scared to install them. Now I've been reading that the stock shocks can be used and the drop is SUPPOSED to be 0.75 inches.
I know the drop is about 1.5 inches on the USDM rims. Now since spoon is JDM (duh) and JDM R's come with 16 inch wheels and lower profile tires do you guys think with either JDM, UKDM, or comparable 16 inch wheels (CE-28N's) the stock shocks will have a better chance of surviving more than 25K???? And do you think the drop discrepency is caused by the different rims sizes??

The wheels will have virtually nothing to do with respect to shock life, due to a drop from the springs.
Wheel and tire size is pretty much only an issue of "rubbing".

I don't see what wheel size would have to do with it. If you measure before and after from the frame of the car to the ground it won't make a difference what wheels you are using.
The fender gap is determined by tire diameter, not wheel diameter. If you use larger wheels with lower profile tires you usually maintain stock 23" tire diameter anyway so not even that changes.

if i had the same dilemma i would just wait to purchase shocks
