Default b16 swap problem

i just got my b16 into my crx but on the right hand side near the firewall there is a plug that doesnt work, the wiring harness that came with the motor has 12 wires and is a circle and the wire plug coming from the car near the silver box is a circle too but its smaller and only has 8 wires, what needs to be done here? I had a b18 in the car before the b16 if that is any help.

use the wiring harness that was on there before. You will need to cut some plugs off of the one that came with the b16, which are for:

-oil pressure sensor
-vtec solenoid
-knock sensor
-2nd o2 sensor

You can run those wires straight to the ecu separately or make some kind of plug for them too, but you will need all of those for the motor to run right. Check HASport's site for ecu pinouts, etc.

im not sure if you are talking about the same plug as me, i mean the 2 near the resistor box, one plugged right in but the other one is completely different, the b16 harness has a circle plug with 13 wires, and the one from my car that it plugs to is a smaller circle with only 8 wires.

what I'm saying is that you should be able to use your old harness that plugged up fine. But the b16 has some extra sensors, etc. that need to be wired up as well. That is why you need to cut the connectors for those extra sensors off the b16 harness and wire them separately. That make more sense?

you run them to the ecu. go to hasport.com and the go to swap info to see a pin layout for where to put those 4 exact wires.
