trunk leaks in an EK9
Any body have any idea's why my trunk leaks up water so damn bad ? is it because of my ride height? and i live in portland oregon, i take a look at it and thing is flooded with water i am going crazy i tryed to seal it up with silicone glue but that didnt work i couldnt figure where the water is coming in from any clues ? what i did i just tryed sealing everything little hole or where honda had their seals at but yeah help me out
i have a 94 coupe, and on the drivers side there is like an air vent under the rear bumper, it could be this. and make sure all the holes in the floor are properly capped and your rubber molding around the trink lid is there/intact. good luck
last weekend looked at my trunk too. it had an inch deep of water, just used the vacuum to suck it all out. i can't find the leak either. it's been a couple days and noo sign of water in there yet though. tell me if you find where it's coming from

Check your tail lenses and make sure all the seals are on tight, I had a loose tail lamp (dont ask me how it got loose) and I had moisture coming through that into my rear hatch area.
Good luck

An EK9 is a Japan/Europe-only Civic Type R hatch that was built between 98 and 2000. That is the only 6th gen Civic that is an EK9.
May god have mercy on your soul.

my 99 civic hb also leaks water. i keep on hearing water swooshing around, and one day i looked in my spare tire area and there was about an inch of water. good thing i have stripped interior, so no harm done.
the seals behind the taillights are where mine used to leak. .apparently they revised them in '99 (minewas a "98 hatch )my lights were always full of water too... THATS where it came through i guess..

hhahahahahahahahahah.... good one
damn trunk leaks still, vacuumed out all the water like 4 days ago, now it's about 1/2 inch deep again. i've looked and can't see where it leaks from still.
my CRX had a leak... and i ended up fixing the tail light gasket and it helped.
anywho. i'd say remove all ur panels from the rear and clean the trunk up real clean and maybe u'll see some marks of water seeping in.....
IDEA: get in ur trunk area. after everything is removed. and get a friend to hose ur car.... leave the hose running about 5minutes in several spots. maybe u'll find it....
GOOD LUCK!!

yes, 2 time in the rear
and where is the drain lines you are talking about that is inside the car?
when water drips, it come out from somewhere inside the trunk behind the right lenses.

Im not exactly sure where they are on 4doors, behind all that carpeting in the trunk there should have been like a clear hose, that's the drain, most of the time bodyshops don't bother putting that back in.
