Default 37.5K mile service... Worth taking to Acura?

My stupid-*** Maitinence Required light is blinking... Anyway, according to itrca.com this is the stuff that needs to be done:

7.5k-22.5k-37.5k-52.5k-67.5k-82.5k mile service
Change Engine Oil & Filter
Check Clutch Adjustment & Fluid Level
Inspect Front Brake Pads, Rotors and Calipers
Inspect Fluid Levels
Adjust Parking Brake
Inspect Exhaust System
Inspect Tire Wear & Set Tire Pressure
Check hoses, belts & coolant level
check wiper blades & windshield washer fluid level
inspect power steering fluid level
inspect transmission fluid level
inspect front suspension & steering operation
rotate tires
Now, I can check all my fluids and rotate my tires and stuff like that... But how do I check the clutch adjustment and the brakes? Would I be messing up my warranty by not taking my car to Acura to get all this **** done? I figure I'll waste a day taking my car there so the tech can give it a once over, say "Hmm, everything looks good" then charge me $100. (Is that accurate? Or would it be more?)

Any idea how much they would charge me to do it at Acura?

probably $70-110... you could call and find out... i find it improtant to get all required maintanance done, whether you know how to do it yourself or taking to dealer

I think if it's only $100 or so I'll just take it so I can have the paperwork that says I did all the stuff I was supposed to for the car. *shrug*

Don't do it!!!!!! I took mine in for its 30k service and spent $500 to have it done....well about a 1000 miles and a month and a half later I found my car being 2.5 quarts low on oil.....wanna know why......cause they forgot to send the "tech" to oil changing school!!!!

dont do it!! Those every other 7500 mile services are mostly visual and tire rotation any way which is easy to do on your own. Waste of $$

Bah...save your money and do it yourself. Clutch adjustment is probably just the tech pushing the pedal and saying "yerp that feels fine". Checking the brakes...they probably take a quick glace at them if that. If you can do all the other stuff then DIY. Show your car the love it deserves

Ehh... You guys are sure if I don't go to Acura that this won't effect warranty claims in the future? I don't want them to be like "Well, you didn't come in for your 37.5k mile service, so your door falling off your car isn't our fault."

I see your dilema,,, but having the dealer do shotty work now could cause a problem later...

As for the warranty... There should not be too many things that will go wrong as long as you take care of the car correctly, but ya never know.

If you feel the need to let them check out your car why don't you do the recommended items and then bring it to the dealer, Just be sure to tell them that you have done it but you want them just to ck it out and verify that the car came in for the 37.5 service and to get a receipt saying the car was in fine cond.
If thats a possiblity?

All that work takes under 3 hours to accomplish aside from the fact that you might need to take it in for alignment.

Look at the underside of the steering column and about half way between the steering wheel and the floorboard there is a button. Hold the button in and turn on the ignition until it goes away.

Just take to your local Goodyear shop, get them to change the oil and rotate the tires and they can check the brakes for you and if they'll let you walk under the car and look at the exhaust yourself. That's what I do.
