anyone know where i can get a full d16y8 swap? any good dealers in So. cal that have them?

i would just hit up honda junk yards...salvage yards...
they'll have em....shop around and you'll find a deal

 

my 2 trusted junkyards give me 400 bucks for the whole motor with 3 months warranty if you want it installed 200 bucks takes about 6 hours or less

 

$600 bucks for an installed, complete D16Y8? Point me in the direction please...

 

How trustworthy are they? Do they ship?

I said D16Y8 motor complete with all the harnesses and solenoids installed.. no tranny no ECU for SOHC owners, it bolts right in to the tranny anyway.. for non VTEC SOHC owners, you have to buy a P28 ECU so no check light P28 ECU is actually expensive, about 150-225 bucks

no these junkyards dont ship..

and when I say "trusted" I really mean it.. I get all my OEM HONDA and ACURA parts from them and then I sell em to my friends

Ok, so for me then the price has just gone up drastically...I not only need a transmition, I need an ECU as well...Do you have any idea what they would charge for a complete motor installed? Tranny, complete motor, ECU...All the goods.

 

for a complete swap (motor trans ecu all the harnesses), you might expect the price to be 800-900 bucks.. not installed yet 3 months warranty on the motor (not just start up warranty!)
if installed, add 300 bucks
