Default Tein vs. Apexi

95 Ex Coupe
rural road driving, city driving, highway driving, may get into auto-x later on

I can get Tein SS or the Apexi N1 World Sport for about the same price (about 50 bux cheaper for Apex).

I did a search and found a similar post, but it was for ITRs and it was the Tein HA's vs. the newer N1's. (Spec V or whatever they are)

If there isn't much difference, I'll probably get the Apex just because they're cheaper (and I like the silver finish ). I was just wondering if there is any major problem with either setup.

On a side note: should I get aftermarket upper mounts? Or will the stock ones be ok?

Thanks in advance

i thought the n1's were more comparable to the tein ra's and they ran like $2000, you can get the ss's for under 1k easy. id keep searching but id go for the n1's if the price is right.

use that itr tread as a good reference... the ss's are the same as the ha's, so take that post really seriously, most of the itr guys know their **** too.

i have the apex N1 for the type R...fit is perfect except i had to get the lower control arms as well. the drop is low considering i have 14" rims for now. the ride and handling is incredible. i think spring rates are 10k at the front and like 8k in the back...can't remember for sure though. i bought mine used and it came with the upper pillow mounts for the fronts only...that's all you really need. i have this suspension on a 1992 civic Si hatch. hope this helps
