trading cars
I need you guys to help me decide!
I am thinking about trading my 1998 GS Automatic for a 1999 GS Manual. I only have about 24,000 miles on my car, the 1999 GS has 38K. Do you guys think this trade is worth it? How much do you think the dealer is going to charge me for the trade?
I chose another GS (instead of GSR) because insurance and I can take out the intake I already have and install it on the new car if I get it. But I also have tint but that can't be taken off
I hope I can switch rims and keep my old rims and tires, is that possible?
I know the manual GS will be faster if I learn how to drive it right, but do you guys think the speed alone is worth the trade? I really want to learn how to drive a manual well before I get my RSX.
Welcome any advice, comment, opinion... thanks!

you should atleast get a gsr. if your talkign about newer cars like 98-00 why not just spend a lil more and get a rsx-s. You dont know how to drive a stick i take it??ask if your friends will let you learn on theres if they have any old ones... you should be ok after your first 2-3 days of driving a stick.shouldnt mees up a clutch or tranny too bad after 3 days i dont think.
Umm, i learned how to drive stick in a day...on my gsr.
Traded in my ls, heh.
Smashed in a wall at 5mph later that night..preseed the clutch...many times. after i hit the wall when parking, i relized its not the brake, lol

not going for the gsr mostly because insurance, also I don't want to pay much for this trade, hopefuly nothing. so are you guys trading for a manual GS is not worth it?
I say keep the Auto GS. Just learn to drive stick when you get your RSX. Stick is not that hard to learn. Maybe a week or two to get competent and by a month it's second nature.
Find out how much it would cost from a local shop to do a tranny swap, then contact the dealer and see how much you will have to eat. Which ever is cheaper go for it... Good Lucj
from what I know, there isn't much insurance difference between RS - LS - GS - GSR - Type R.
If you are going to trade in your car, at least get a GSR. If you have money, go for RSX.
