I have the Greddy EVO on my LS, sounds great with some small hp gains, don't expect a bunch if you never had one. The cat back system is just small part of mods to your car.

get a 4-1 header with 2.5" collector, 2.5" cat, and 2.5" exhaust

I like the Tanabe better, it flows better and it's louder.

Tanabe will give you better gains but I rather have the EVO because it sounds better and looks better.

I have the Tanabe Super RM. You can tell that **** is quality when you pull it out of the box 100% stainless steel, perfect fit. Super deep sound. Prepare to break out the silencer every once in a while though it can be too much at times.

Tanabe has the best sound out there and great performance

i dont know about the best sound part. I've heard old racing medallions which were LOUD and whiny. I dont know about the new ones though. I have the greddy evo on my car...and ive always liked it since day 1. sound is aggressive but not aggravating. of course though, most people are going to promote the exhaust which is on their car, because they never had any experience w/ the other exhaust. so it all comes down to personal preference. when it comes to name brand exhausts, they all put out around the same numbers on the dyno. (besides smsp and hytech)

i have a greddy evo on my gsr, it sounds really nice an deep, but a part of me wants something a little louder.....N1

But you WILL NOT be dissapointed with a greddy, its quiet when you want it but can be loud when u get on it.
