What wires to add to get a GSR in a LS
I was anticipating on adding just VTEC, but then I heard you need to run wires for the butterfly. Is this true? If yes, what pins do they go into and does anyone have pics?
Don't worry about the secondary butterfly. Nobody every messes w/that (I've never done it either on any of my swaps). You'll have to wire up a couple more things though if you wanna add a gsr ecu (is that what you're doing? it wasn't too clear). Besides the solonoid, you need to wire up the vtec oil pressure sensor and knock sensor. If you get your ecu chipped w/the mugen program, then you only need to wire up the vtec soloniod (because it doesn't read the other 2, nor throw codes for them). Good Luck.
If you need more help, feel free to IM me.. I don't check posts often.. it's hard enough keeping up w/the classified page

This is a good question.
Someone should do a step by step diagram on how to make the the vtec ecu work with the B18B wire harness.
There's a lot of websites that go through the ls/vtec procedure, but they all leave out the wireing part. Putting in a vtec engine or putting on a vtec head is a possible option for LS owners, and they should have something they can refer to.

Pins are A4 for the solenoid and D6 for the switch. You also need to ground the switch. You can get extra pigtails from the junkyard. If its a gsr ecu and your running the gsr intake mani, wire the butterflies.
