Default can someone send me some trunk bolts???

ive been reading all the posts about the Tweakmeisters DIY trunk brace and I finally decided id get around to it and do it. Bought the bar, and absolutely no where around here has longer bolts (checked 4 different hardware stores). Anyone who has done this mod...would it be too much trouble to send me 2 longer bolts???

I need the 2 bolts that arent unscrewed...the thread is 12mmx1.25, I think a 2 inch bolt would do. Thanks in advance!

You don't need to buy the bolts.

Use the exisiting bolts that are already there that hold the trunk into place.

checked 5 different hardware stores and not a one had 'em. I even asked the people there to make sure and they said no. Everyone said they found them at good ol' pep boys, but for some reason my local pep boys dont have them......

probably because it's a machine thread.

try pepboys. I know Home Depot sells them too (they should have a seperate group of machine bolts).

edit\\\

If you still can't find them let me know, I can probably pick some up for you.

I know where I can get them for you. It took me forever to find that thread pitch in that size. The tranny bolts are the same, just different length.

12x1.25 (available in 30mm, 35mm, 40mm, and 50mm lengths) 50mm is ~2".

Edit: Forgot, Pepboys should have them too, but I'm not sure if the lengths that they stock are gonna be long enough. I think the one I bought there was 35mm and that was the longest one they had.

what kind of bar did you get and where did you get it? i'm thinkin of doin this, too, since it's easy as hell, cheap, and should help reduce some of the body roll i have goin on.

its just a 1" rectangular bar from home depot...their right next to all the bolts and stuff. I got aluminum cause it looks nicer There are steel bars, but the aluminum seems strong enough, so ill go with that.
