Default Synthetic oil made my car slower?

I changed my oil today and used 5w-30 Valvoline SynPower fully sythetic oil and a fram oil filter. I went for a "test" drive b/c the old oil was black as ****. My car felt a little slower than usual. Should i just use reg. oil from now on?

I don't see how it could have made your car slower? Placebo effect maybe?

i dont think it made your car slower, if you havent changed your oil for a long time and and you drive your car with fresh oil, the car will rev out quicker/smoother but it will sound alot and i mean alot quieter than with the old oil. This may be why you think its slower cos the car oint as loud as before.???

No, you should keep using full synthetic oil, but use an OEM oil filter next time.

does an oil filter really cause a diff. in hp? I dont think it can, its an oil filter...it filters oil. Even if its restrictive it shouldnt make a difference.
