Default Opinions on b16a

I searched, and I generally found out that b16a into a EG civic is a pretty simple/srtaight forward swap, when compared to say an H22a, or a Mixed swap of some sort... but all in all, should someone new to cars, try something like a b18c bottom, with a b16a head and tranny? or would you guys suggest for the first swap to go with a simple b16a?

any comments or suggestions will be appreciated...

honestly man if you wanted to do an ls-vtec or something like that on your first motor there is nothing wrong with that, it will just depend on how far you want to take it. If you just want a motor that is better than the existing...you would do good by dropping in a b16, it straight foward and easy to do.

lets say I wanted do something a bit more difficult, something that would give me a bit more torque... what would you suggest is a good swap for that? you mentioned Ls/vtec, is that like a 1.8L Integra motor, with a b16a head? please correct if im wrong, (because I probably am)

b18c bottom end
b16a1 head
p30 ecu obd1
jdm gsr tranny with lsd
ctr intake cam
itr exhaust cam

thats some bangin stock power right there.
and its a little more difficult then tossin in a b16.
if i were to do a swap,(im so poor) i would stick to that setup to start out. my.02 cents.

Yes.

Opinions on b16a
Torqueless econopile that you can rev FOR-EV-UR. Good with turbo or Joooose but terribly ordinary on its own. Looks best nestled between the fenders of a CRX with a snail-shaped manifold hanging off it's poop-chute.

wow, i have been lurking in the backround on this site forever. Finally decided to actually post something, and get this "the search function is an amazing thing......also reading other pages other than the first page would result in amazing reads also.....i know of 3 such topics on the first 2 pages of this forum.....are the noobs really this stupid?"

I dont know why some people on this site think that "noobs" are some sort of lesser race, or think that they are "stupid", personally, I think that people like chad, are straight up as*holes.

please, since someone said that they found 2 or 3 topics, on what swap will yeild more torque then a b16a, and have about the same difficulty level to install, I would love to see some links to prove it. I couldnt find any.

I did find posts ABOUT a b16a, but never really stating what would be a alternative, that would require the same amount of knowledge/money...

thanks for the replys though... so b18c bottom with b16 head is a good swap to go with, that is not TOO difficult to do...

again thanks to people who replyed that didnt go off on me because I am a newbie of a lesser race...

i don't think of NOOBs as an inferior....just get sick of seeing...

what do you think bout the b16 posts.....

b18 block with b16 is not something someone who has never done a swap should do....

Not true my friend, if you were to type the right words into the search function you'd find quite a few threads comparing b16a to just about any other swap available...its true, these type of posts tend to appear way to often when the wealth of information stored in the archives already has the answers you need...however, nothing wrong with asking but just get ready for the flaming 'cose people here take this **** seriously.
On another note, people will argue back and forth about the b16a so what it come downs to its you're own personal preference...trust me, you wont be so impressed after you do a b16a swap, eventually you will want more power and that means more $$$$$!
