gen 2 integra cable and i've heard(read) that you can just flip your factory one around. Not sure though mine came with the jdm latch so i just got the gen 2 cable. I hope that helps

I've been hit with a couple orders for 92-93 Integra Latches and Cables.

Unfortunately, these people want to remain anonymous.

2nd gen cable since it has to be a little bit longer. You can use a third gen latch too.I just flipped mine around,i'm sure you still have to do that with the 2nd gen.So if you have a 3rd gen don't worry about getting a latch.

Nope. You dont have to flip the 2g latch since its on the front side of the core support stock
unlike the 3g which is on the back side.

Ok,so if he has a 3g then all he has to do is flip it around.

Look at the hood latch.See how the rubber part of the latch is faced in,instead of out. That's what i mean by flipping around. The latch will be facing in though, but it's really no big deal IMO.
And yes it is the stock latch that came with the car.All i changed was the latch cable to Gen2.

So just out of curiosity. Why don't they sell or supply the latch and cable with the Type R conversion?? I mean... if you want it done right you might as well use the parts that were suppose to go with it. Obviously they have to close their hoods too. Is it because of the right hand drive?? Either way, the latch is in the middle so right or left should be close to equal distance.

Maybe their latch is on the left side and not on the right like here. Since they have the right hand drive?? Anybody have pics of a JDM Latch??

The JDM DC2 latch and cable are the same as the USDM. The fact that the latch is on the opposite side of the core support is the reason why you have to use a different latch. Technically the latches are exactly the same, but due to their different cable connection locations, the cable used cannot be the same on a Left hand drive JDM front DC2.

thats what i had heard. I also heard that you can use the newer civic latch and cable, but 90%+ said that its the latch and cable from the 90-93 integra.

finally i found this thread.........
im goin thru the same thing , so i can get a second gen ( da) hood latch and cable, and it will screw into the same holes on the vertical latch support as the jdm latch?

i looked at the jdm latch and the cable is on the rt side , it needs to be on the left. and the cable is way too short anyways

Yeah when I got the latch and cable from a gen 2 I noticed that the cable came out left and hooked back around to the right. What is the deal with that. Why can't it just come out the right side?? I dunno. As long as it works I guess. HAHA.

i think this is asked just as much as like HID questions... im about to start selling JDM hoodlatch kits by going to the salvage yard and just pulling off g2 cables and g3 latches and tell them to just flip it around... could make a pretty nice penny since everyone ALWAYS ask's without searching. lure ppl into buying it cause they dont use the search button.
