Going to get right to the point here. What is the theft rate for ITRs like there? I know it is going to be hard to say without knowing where I am thinking about int he Atlanta area, but not sure I want to give it away on a board that is open to public eyes. So, in a nutshell, what is the ITR theft rate like for ITRs in the Atlanta area?

i dont know about theft rate, but i wouldnt leave your car around public area for very long time. ie. movie theater...etc...
one of my friend had his GS-R stolen out of his apartment, but got it back because of Low-jack. We think it was one of his neighbor's friend or something.

i havent had any trouble around here, but i'm always careful where i park.

 

Not very high, but I wouldn't leave it out on public parking area for long.

There are some bad parts in metro ATL, but for the most part, it's "safe"... as long as you take precautions.

 

pretty much what they said. i've heard parts of the southside are kind of sketchy but overall i'm pretty secure when i park my car anywhere. i just use common sense and avoid places that look obviously bad. i even don't worry too much when i go to the movies

Agreed. I dont know of ONE Stolen ITR in the ATL area. I have been driving my ITR for over 2 years now and parking it at "not so great" movie theatres, about every mall in ATL and many other places. So I think you will be ok as long as you park it in well lit, high traffic areas.

However, I do know of some gs-r,/civics that have been stolen...but not many...ITR's are pretty safe in A-town.

 

Not to big a problem in my area but I'm a little north in Duluth area. Me and my friends tegs (GS-R's) have never been messed w/ so far. I wouldn't imagine it would be higher in Hotlanta than the national average. Should be fine as long as you don't take it to the ghetto and leave it overnight.

 

Actually your ITR will probably be safer in the ghetto because it isn't a 'Lac' or doesn't have dubs on it.

I don't think there as many sophisticated thieves that are targeting the Honda market down here. I drove my ITR everywhere like TJ and never ahd a problem. But I think because I am kewl with alot of people...even if they don't know the name the knew the car...that helped alot. Because when I sold my ITR alot of people hit me up thinking the guy I sold it to stole it.

We are pretty close down here....the import world is a little smaller then the average town in NY, CA, VA or even Toronto. Once you hit a few meets up and get to know everyone you'll get a feel for how we do things down here.

low theft rates, definitely. A lot lower than where you're at right now, fo sho!

Lower than LA, NY, Charlotte, VA, WA DC, etc...
