Rods for ZC??? answer if u wanna help only please!
Okay the whole search thing is giving nothing...
anyways i'm buying the piston from race engineering, and apparently from what i read JG makes cams for this motor, but is there a company selling the rods for the zc. i already got the nitrous system, and from reading other posts- the zc rods are only good for about 200hp. No, i'm not saying i'll be pushing that amount, but i don't wanna take any chances!

Pretty sure you can use any aftermarket d16 rod in the ZC. I am not too sure if there is any modification needed to make the rods fit properly. Maybe someone else will fill in the holes in my info.
yeahh i was trying to search if anyone had done this but there were no results. thankx for the help...

On the subject of rods, i was reading about ls rods in a d16, how reliable are they and what needs to be done to get them to fit. Because they can handle up to 250 HP.
thanks for the info guys... i found to different sets, Crower for 665$ and an Eagle set for 389$ i think i'll go with the Eagle one, money doesn't grow on trees!

No dont lock, i wanna know what the ls rods are like in a d series. What it does to HP, how it needs to be machined, etc.
Keep in mind with the Eagle rods there is potential for a clearance issue. This is more with the older version of the rods. The newer ones are not suppose to have a clearance issue. I would advise mentioning it to machine shop so they will be aware of a potential problem.
This is an easily fixable problem. All that needs to be done is to notch the block. Check out http://www.theoldone.com/articles/d_..._building_tips/ for more info.

The ZC rods have larger bearings than the D series rods, approx. 1/8". A good machine shop can easily hone out the D series rods to work.
LS pistions/rods can handle 325hp there B series. But the LS is a 1.8 and so they will have to be shimmed down to fit I suppose.
