Default HELP! Need an Si D16 probably ..........

My engine is doing all kinds of wierd shizznit ..............

It starts, won't idle properly, starts to stall out as soon as you rev, makes this wierd rythmic "hissing" sound when you rev, and is not throwing any codes ........... When it did have a code, it was "16" - which is injectors, and "1" - which is emmissions.

I know my cat. is clogged because the car burns oil, and is all original from the cat. back. But it is so rusted at the bolts, I couldn't get it off to check that part.

I replaced the injectors, sparks, and re-checked all the wiring for the head/MPFI swap. It started fine, but as soon as I started to back out of the driveway, same old stuff happening ...........

MY guess is the engine is just toast .......... it has 141,000 on it, and I did the head swap at 121,000. It was burning oil before I did the head swap (2000 DX head, '89 Si MPFI stuff for the rest - care of Phatwhippin .........), so the swap didn't cause it.

I think I just need to replace the whole damn thing ........ but I have ZERO monetary flexibility to work with. I think I need to find anyone who is looking to clean out their garage in the MD/VA/DE/PA area of their complete D16 (tranny even if they want to) for dirt cheap. Give me a price and I'll let you know if it is my range.

Someone hook me up! I'll come and pick it up. I'm looking for someone within reasonable range of Baltimore, not for someome in the Midwest or SoCal ............

does it does a sputerring noise?
does it blows white smoke..??
maybe its running rich ..
i keep having this issues with injectors.. in wich apparently one stays open and flods my #1 spark plug on fuel , it wont ignite and then sputters,.,. i have to releif all fuel rpessure, and kinda check on the Ohms of the injector, then clean spark plug in order for it to go back to function.. and while that happens i get a code 16 (injectors) and a Code 1 (O2 bc its running rich)
whats the cause i dont know.. but after all this i let it run for 10 min and goes back to normall... done it about 6 times... and makes me wonder... check to see if its that..
if u got 4G injectors the ohmn reading should be 1.5-3.5 ohms... any higher they are fried... if they test good.. just put a screwdriver and touch both terminals so any resistance gets "used" and releifs the injector..

I wondered if it was running rich.

But the plugs are kinda white (lean). So I thought the fuel pump might be shot. I have a D16 fuel pump to put in, but it was rainy and snowy, so my car port was soaking wet, and you have to drop the tank to remove it .......... no thanks, not right now ........

I already had one ....... had to sell it to pay off student loans. Can't afford to do it right now, the wife would kill/divorce me, and then I'd REALLY be broke ........
