Please help me out!!! Just look at least! topic- pulling tranny
Well, it looks like my clutch throw-out bearing fork is bent. It's probally due to the ACT SS clutch and xtreme pressure plate. Its a stock fork so I'm sure it bent due to the stiffness of the ACT. Anyway, it looks like I'll be replacing that fork and the throwout bearing here in the next couple days. My question to you guys is -- how easy/hard is it to pull the tranny? Body -- 91 CRX engine- ZC tranny- ZC. Also, what engine do I order the throw out bearing and fork for? I really need your help so if you have any input or even e BUMP please post for me. I need to get my car back and running.
Thanks a million guys!

IMO its always better (at least hondas) to pull the engine w/tranny out togheter instead of jus tpulling the tranny out..
it took me 4 hrs just to swap my 4 speed trany to the Si one with 3 taco bell runs and BS around a lot...
try to get a nice set of tools.. see if u can borrow some air tools and a cherry picker...(will make life a lot easier)
i guess u can use a D series fork.... they will work on it

Thanks for your reply. My friends shop has air tools and just about every other tool there is. We've pulled a few engines there but I honestly dont want to pull the whole thing. On my friends EG w/ b18 we pulled the tranny in a couple hours and it was pretty simple. I was just hoping it wouild be the same w/ my rex.
Thank you again sir.

well you don't have to pull the motor, but i agree with JDM EF9 that is is probably easier. mating the tranny back to the motor is always a bitch, nevermind if you have limited room since the motor is in the car. but do as you wish.
as for the fork, a civic si one will work fine.

pull the transmission!!!
ive had to pull mine 4 times in the past 3 months (dont ask.) and ive gotten the removal time down to 75 minuets with hand tools.
its not that hard, the hardest part is popping out/in the axle's

I would just pull the tranny. Its not hard at all, but then again that might be because I have had to do it a few times.
