Default Hidden Horses!?

Is there any cost effective ways to increase the horses on civic hb? I heard that if you take the restricter plate out of your Injector system, you increase horses. (DPFI)

why spend 200 on a cai and 200+ on a header and 500 for a good exhaust when you can build a custom turbo kit for under a grand, and put out alot more power than achievable by minor mods.

I took mine off and notice a slight increase. Not exactly a few horsepower, might have been a new born pony. Its free so what u expect, go for it

Do the MPFI conversion, would cost you like 50-75 bucks to find the setup online.

I second the MPFI conversion. Also, I heard, but am not positive, that if you take off the restrictor plate then your engine will run lean.

Removing the restricter plate will hardly even be noticable, neither will an I/H/E. the tiny little throtle body bottlenecks the system, so it needs to be dealt with first....

MPFI swap!!!

Well since you have a d series use a hf manifold with an adapter plate for what ever turbo you decide to use. Buy mandrel jbends for piping, innercooler (optional) yet recomended, then you will need misc little stuff and a fmu which are like 100 bucks new. Just do some research its cheap and you get lots of power from it.

You gotta shop around and find good deals on used stuff. Here's what ive found so far:
aem cai - $100
greddy sp catback - $220
Just gotta find a nice used header and it should be a nice i/h/e for under $500.
As far as suspension goes:
gc coilovers - $160
Wouldnt buy shocks used so im gonna get some nice adjustables.

Its safe to buy anything used that cant be abused and you know its condition. to bargain hunting.
