the kits should not differ at all, its at time it has not be test fitted to the newer setup therefore they don't gurantee it to fit or never made the update...99-01 should have no major changes.

headers from b16a and GSR differ in lenght as well at times the angle of the attachment. it sort of depends on what year you compare.

This is confusing..

Ok. You're TRYING to put a 2000 Si B16 header onto a GSR engine that is in an EK? WHY?

The SS header you posted has a 2.5" collector, the ceramic has a smaller one. I believe some aftermarket headers come with the 2.5". I know for a fact that my JDM ITR header has a collector that big. And because of that, I have to use a JDM cat, it won't bolt to a USDM cat.

But I'm not really understanding this...

sorry if this is confusing. im just wondering why on the bottom of my header the flange is straight. and on both of those headers they are angled more. and they wont bolt on to my cat. clear anything up? if not ill take some pics.

I would say that the reason it doesn't say 96-01 is that the ECU style changed in 00-01 GSR's from OBD2 to OBD2.5. They probably haven't been able to get a CARB certification for the kit for the 00-01 GSR. There is no reason why the kit wouldn't fit and work properly though. Technically the motor is the same and the sensors are the same so a 96-99 turbo kit will work.

and i also tried to install a header from my friends 00 b16a2 and where the header bolts to the cat the bolts are lined up different. anyone know why?
The GSR header is shorter than a B16 header. Either header will fit both motors but you will need some minor exhaust work to make it lineup.

It depends on what cat and exhaust you are running. I think I know what you are talking about. You're saying that the flange on the header doesn't line up, right? What exhaust are you running, with what cat? Did they modify your header when you did the swap? Doesn't look like the stock exhause because of the cat. Anyways, your probably gonna have to take it to an exhaust shop and have them modify it some what.

yes! that is what im talkin about.
i am running a gsr cat.(well thats what the guy said)
but they had to modify it to fit the header cause the flange wasnt in the right direction. i was just wondering why my header was in a different position than others. thas all thanx for all the feedback
