ok i may be a newb... but how do i check my engine ->
you Can look on your block right by the tans will tell you..... Look at the valve cover and if it says vtec then it's a vtec.....Or what Model car do you have and i could tell you
i was wondering, how do i check the engine and the code... i have a regular stock 4th gen lude.. i just wanna find out if its a h231 or h22a , etc...

You can check the actual engine code by looking straight down from the distributor. There should be a rubber looking thing sticking out of the block, the code is stamped next to it.
Judging from the pic, you either have a Prelude S or Si. F22 or H23. If your motor says DOHC on it, then it's an H23a1. If it says SOHC, then it's an F22.
