It couldn't hurt to run a carfax. If it comes back good don't tell the dude, but If it comes back bad you could then talk him down. If he's asking 2,400 he'll probably take 2,200 so offer 2,100 and go from there

OK now the items that you said one of like the trans, block, alternator, and such now do you mean in addition to the ones that are already on the car?? But yeah it does sound like a good deal I am also looking at a 90 Si hatch but for $1700 well probably trade for my other car but it needs the front end put back together. (headlights, corner and bumper lights, and the molding)

In addition to the new tranny and engine he put in the car. The only thing that is bad on the car is the throw-out bearing.

Ok, now here's another question.
Should I store the 99 Civic Si (for sale) till it sells and drive the new hatch?

Poor couper....

store the 99si so the mileage doesn't increase and drive the hatch. the hatch might get better gas mileage, too.

I would say store it it would suck if you got hit or in a wreck now that we are actually getting snow And then Drive the hatch. Plus like Breaka said less miles.

Definately a good deal. I mean on the parts alone you can make like $600 -$1000 on eBay.
