Default HELP..98sohc vtec turbo in CRX

I know this engine will drop in my crx..but I'm going to go turbo with it.....what do I really need to strenghen the bottom end for turbo? Do I have to get upgraded pistons...I was planning on just upgrading the rods because they are what tend to break all the time....please reply.....also can I use the ZC rods and if I need the pistons, will those fit...please email...

Well if you keep the boost low (4-6psi), then you should be ok with stock internals. But it also depends on the condition of the motor. If you have the money and time, then upgrade the internals before you drop the motor in. The ZC rods are OK, but not the pistons. The ZC pistons will raise your compression in the D16Y8, which already has a semi-high compression. You might as well do it right from the beginning and get some Crower rods and lower compression pistons. HTH
