Default 93' Civic Coupe EX

Hello, I am new to this forum but am turning 16 very soon and looking at a 93' Civic Coupe EX. It is in perfect exterior and interior condition with 93,000 miles on it.

The only question I have before I buy it is, how was this year? I have heard from a mechanic I know that this year is a "trouble year."

Id like to know what others opinion on this is and you with this model comment on whether you like it or not.

Thankyou.

so do i and i agree, you have to make the descision about whether a small sunroof, cruise control, and power windows/locks are that important to you, b/c youre looking at over 50 lbs right there that is not easily removed. i am too attached to my car now to get rid of it though.

well i have a 94 ex, but if i were you i would reconsider and get a dx b/c its lighter.

Im not really concerned about weight. Im getting a good deal on the EX and what Im really concerned about is reliability because this will be an every day driver.

Probably a Good ole V8 boy? American Iorn all teh way. ask him about 92's. Get it swap the motor no more worries. Cars dont necisarley die motors do. That motor was used in 92 all teh way up to 95 so if its that year must be 92 and 94 and 95. The point. its a honda. Good stuff and low miles Buy it

Its more complicated than that. It is my money but its not my decision. My father wont let me buy it because this mechanic gave him the idea that the 93' is a bad year.

carpoint.msn.com

I think they had a few problems that happen to them, which would cost $400 at the most in repairs.

I'm a happy owner of a 93 Si coupe (that's the Canadian version of the EX coupe) and there hasn't been one problem with mine. My father has a 95 Si coupe and there are minor differences between the two but both our cars have been completely problem free. I don't even have signs of rust on mine — a rarity in areas where they use salt on the roads.

I don't think you'll have any problems with buying it.
