Where can I buy a brand new OEM Type R cat back exhuast???
Thinking about changing out my current exhaust, a custom 2" mandrel bent piping job to a universal muffler, to a type r catback all around. I want something pretty quiet, and I'm thinking that the type-r exhaust would be perfect for me. So my question is, where can I find one brand new and for a good price. If anyone has any suggestions on exhausts (Apex'i WS and n1's are nice, but I'd like something a little less expensive from my wallet), please recommend them, but please remember, I dont want to spend a lot at all. Peace!
The cheapest place to purchase an ITR catback would probably be a www.acuraautomotiveparts.com , but the total would be nearly $500. Best thing to do is get one used since they cost anywhere from $100-$250. I think I saw one in the classifieds going for $75 picked up.
The B-pipe (part #18220-ST7-R60) has a dealer list price of $206.02 and the muffler (part #18030-ST7-Z61) has a list price of $241.67. I would recommend checking out http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.net . The B-pipe is $164.81 and the muffler is $193.33 .

How easily does the Type R exhuast fit on a GSR? I have heard diffrent storys from everyone. I have a 99' GSR.

BTW, I had a 2.5" exhaust flange installed for a future JDM 4-1 header and a 2.5" hi-flow cat.
I wouldn't get a Type R b-pipe, only because it's 2.25 inches.

There was a recent test done by SMSP. He builds and sells a 2.5" catback exhaust with a straight through muffler and it only gained 3 HP over the Type-R catback exhaust. The test was done on a stock Integra Type-R. I will see if I can find the thread, which was in the Type-R forum. So, there isn't really much to gain by going from 2.25" --> 2.5".

Next question. I have an N1 sitting around. I can purchase a Type R B-Pipe and it should bolt right up to my GSR, right? An N1 and a Type-R B-Pipe sounds like it may work well as well. Loud, but still a nice upgrade from what I have right now. Or would it be cheaper for me to just take it to my local exhaust shop and have him custom make me a 2.25" mandrel bent b-pipe? How much do you suppose this would run me?
