Should I cut my bumper to show my whole IC? Its a huge APEX IC. But now you cant even see half of it? Does it matter at all performance wise? What do you all think looks wise. I have wanted to show it off...but I also like the clean look too

 

I would probably cut the bumper, especially on a civic hatch. My intercooler is huge and half of it is covered by my bumper. I think of it this way, if it will shave off a few tenths off your 1/4 time or get your mph up, it will be worth it.

I probably wouldn't do it just for the fact that it will draw that much more attention to your car. Thieves are everywhere nowadays...

 

If it's more than half, I would, to allow more flow, but if it's only about a quarter, you can get away with a small duct cut beneath your opening

The intercooler core is an XS-engineering GTR unit . The only one I like to use on street aplications.-pdang

Why did yall put the mesh infront of it?
TAKE IT OFF!! It doesn't look right with it!

 

it may not look good, but it should save it from bigger rocks or debris. I just cut out the black insert on my bumper, but the greddy type 24 isn't near as big either.

The IC is the Apex Skyline...same as Jinx's I belive.

I think Im gonna bust out the dremmel today on it.

 

I personally, would take it off!........Either way though it's going to attract alot of attention.
