Will it work fine or will there be modifications? Also, will the ride be pretty nice?

 

It will/should fit, I know it will not work vice versa, 5gen struts/shocks/springs on a 6gen civic because the 5gen tops have two flared out sort of edges to them. I would assume the ride would be slightly different due to the difference in weight, but I cannot state from personal experience.

 

it should fit fine...i have them on my 93 si, well not stock...but they are for tegs.
