Yo my 94 accord said 16 valve on the valve cover but it was evidently a SOHC, how is this possible? It's an Lx

 

it IS 16 valve, 4 valves per cylinder, 2 intake/2 exhaust

 

then what about a DOHC? this always confuse me... how many intake and exhaust?

 

same number of valves... only, instead of one cam pushing both intake and exaust, there is one cam for each.

an LX can have either the V-tec or the non V-tec motor if it is an LX there is a good possibility that it is the base 130HP non V-tec motor. It is a very good engine with great fuel economy 30MPG at 80MPH with the auto.
