My car is currently under rebuild by honda but first they want to inspect it. Around october I installed my kit and after a couple of weeks I got tired of it and took it off. I sprayed it about 6-10 Times at the most. I doubt it had anything to do with my motor blowing . My compression test read like so; 5,175,110(i think) and 90. It was burning oil for about a month before this happened. I drove my car like about 2 months after I took out my kit . So heres my question could nitrous deposits be found in the internals? I put some fuel injector cleaner a while back too and I drove like 2500 miles at the least. So what do you think people?

dude,,,mechanics aren't stupid! They're gonna wonder why there was abnormal wear to your piston rings and figure it out
just deny it completely...my friend on here works for acura/honda (acuratech is his SN). hey says the get people all the time who have messed up motors, that STILL have the nitrous systems hooked up, but say that it's for show only. as long as it's under warranty you have nothing to worry about...they usually let the first one go w/o that big of a deal...
wonder where all the $$$$ to repair this car comes from. maybe we'll all end up paying for his rebuild thru parts dept and service dept's ........
im sure the nitrous didn't have anything to do with the motor blowing either....... YEAH, RIGHT !!!!!

Well you can count on the fact that the nitrous DID do this to your motor. If you drilled any holes anywhere in your intake, they will know. Make sure you replace ALL traces of the install and you will be fine. Just scratch your head and say to the service writer "I don't understand it either"
thats kinda harsh earl, i dont think it was the nitrous but maybe the user? im pretty sure the same would happen if he was boosted. n20 isnt a bandaid, if you have any pre existing problems before, n20 definately aint gonna fix it ...itll just expose ur weaknesses.
I had some issues with nitrous for a while (thinking it was super-lame and all) but, I realized that what bugs me is not that people use it, but that SO many are irresponsible. I wouldn't try to put a 100shot on my stock engine and expect it to last too long, but so many people do. That is what sucks about nitrous; it's SO easy to do it, but hard to do it right.
its not about the money you spend,
its about looking over at the 65 yr old guy
in his new corvette and knowing your about
to give him a heart attack.
damn straight!

My point is only that he could not of hurt it that bad without the help of nitrous and with no tuning help. Not that nitrous is bad or people who use it are bad. It can be dangerous in the hands of a noob.
well the only thing you have to worry about is if they find the nitrous in your oil. Nitrous leaves deposits in the oil and you need to change it a few times before they get the car.
They can put the oil under some special light and the nitrous will ahine or something like that not sure about the detailed tech stuff they do to it.

1)the back side of the bearings will show colored marks from the beating of the rod when there is detonation...
2)N20 will also weld the ring gaps together
3)it will crush the top section of a cast piston down onto the ring, seizing the ring in the groove.
4)if the mixture is lean, the pistons edges will melt back, depending on severity
5)N20 backfires....ooo I can tell a whole bunch of **** here..bent throttle plates, ripped open sheetmetal intakes, intake tubes smashed, exploded fiters and IAC motors and ICT sensors found in pieces.
6) deposits on the sparkplugs...and discoloration of the porcelian(sp)
Now as you said the motor smoked before you added the N20.....N20 didnt cause this motor to blow....the user did....
foozball-26....N20=nitrous oxide=can be stored as a liquid but at room temp. at atmospheric pressures is a vapor....the only thing left behind would be a couple of PPM of sulfur....which can be found in gasoline also....
Even a hurt motor cannot take tubocharging let alone N20....

nitrous on a street car is just plain dumb as *****!!!!
if you want reliablity, use a charger or turbo, its's basically always there, and never need to refill a bottle. nitrous is the easy way out like i said, and it always fails, because people get greedy and abuse it. So to those who say im stupid for my previous statement, Do you use nitrous on a daily driven car, ill answer for you, NOPE, you dont, and dont try to tell me you do, or your lying, because its too impratical, turbo or superchargers are way better... end of discussion.............

I use nitrous on my daily driven car.
I drive my car everyday , everywhere I go, and in all weather(we get alot of snow in SD).
Nitrous is, without argument, the best bang for the buck mod.
Go read a book or something.
Mike installed nitrous on his first Honda many years back. A month or two later he developed a knock. At that time I had never worked on a Honda in my life. I isolated the cylinder, dropped the pan and pulled off the rod cap. The bearing came out in pieces. Never saw that happen in a V-8. Put a new bearing in and in ran like new again. O yeah, he sold the nitrous set up the next week and started looking for a turbo. Hehe. Come a long way since then...

Just to get things straight. I did not like nitrous at all I just put it on because my freind gave it to me for a good price. I sprayed it a couple of times and thats it. I had CEL's before the nitrous and my car was losing compression back then too but I thought it was a Hgasket or carbon buildup or something. But I wasnt irresponsible with my kit for shure. Oh I changed the oil constantly around 5 Times before this and honda did most of it.
I'll take nitrous over a supercharger any day on a Honda. What do you have on your car oh knowledgable one?

Are you sure you don't mean NITROMETHANE instead?
Anyways, we've already had the NOS vs Turbo vs Supercharger debate soo many times already....it's getting really stupid guys.
BOTTOMLINE: RUN WHAT YOU BRUNG Nuff said.
wtf are you talking about i had nitrous on my daily driven R for the last 2.5 years. dont say that **** will fail becuase mine didnt. . . know why? becuase i knwo what im doing .
