Default When you go to a dealer for parts.

This crossed my mind last week when l went down to the Honda dealer, l'm trying to solve a couple of problems with my accord se 91 and the guy behind the counter has that software that can pull up assmblies to locate part numbers and illustrated pictures to print off. Well being a gear head and a machinists where do they get that software at ? l think it would be a great resourse to have trouble shooting problems with any car any help would be great

That software comes straight from Honda. It's not made available to the general public.

if you go to this site, they have the same system available online, i.e. the illustrations that the dealer uses to pinpoint the part you want.

accord94dx, should go into that department, pop in a few disks, or zip disks or cd's and just copy the program over, then set up a website were we could all download it, and pay him .1 or so...

If it's anything like the software we had for Hondas at this lawn care place I used to work at, then the dealer has to pay every few months to get a new serial number to keep it working. Every few months the program asks for a new number and you have to call and pay to get it. Rather expensive too.

I go to the dealer to get the parts they seem to be of better quality than the parts at your local discount auto store.
