'89 civic hatch base: suspension tech Q's.....
Ok, so I hit a curb and jumped it a few months back in the snow.
I was able to drive and everything seemed fine, so I didn't think much of it... Well, now I notice that the tires which were new last year now are worn on the insides of both front tires - all the way to the belts! But the outsides look fine!
Well, I go and take it to a local guy for an alignment and he takes it to an alignment shop... I paid $45 and he says it should be fine. I got some new tires on it, but now it seems to pull to the left?
When the tire shop had the tires off, it seemed like there were some bolts missing from the bar that goes from up in the front bumper area to the axle area... I think this is the tie bar? Anyway, it is only bolted in one spot - but looks like there should be another bolt in there..... Is it possible, I broke that bolt when I hit the curb? And maybe the mechanic didn't notice because he didn't even look, or he isn't familiar with honda's?
It appears that bolt is missing on both sides.....
I don't want to have the other bolt break, because it looks like the wheel would turn out suddenly and if that happened on the highway.....

Anyone? I'll look at the cheapie Chilton's manual when I get home.
hard to say....best to inspect it yourself compare the sides....also...when you did the aligment did you use the same tires/wheel combo as what you are riding currently...
i hit a curb at 60-80km/h....i snapped the crossmeber, knuckle, and few other parts into pieces....my buddy did the same but at 140km/h on turn broke one side of x-member into pieces and the other 3 wheels also some some action...but only damage was + camber and bent wheels...
