I broke 95 in my 93 Stock CX Hatch last night going down a hill... then I felt bad for my motor which is on it's last leg and slowed down...

my spedo said 120 one time

 

123 mph i believe

and 143mph on a gsr

 

I think on the dyno in 4th it was well over 120. It doesn't really count though, it wasn't with wind working agest the car

 

been about 110 in my hatch in a deserted freeway at 3:00 a.m.

 

Keep in mind that the speedometer will probably be incorrect...the needle on my car was almost at the 7 o clock position when I pussied out, and I highly doubt I was going over 130mph.

 

Hit 130 once.

 

i redlined 4th once and a lil more.. hit about 115.. of course you would never see that speed with a VX engine..

60mph in my vx....but it only was the 2nd time i drove it on the road...got my permit a week ago. haha

I hit around 120....then the stupid JDM SPEED LIMITER kicked in Hitting a speed limiter at 120 feels like you hit a brick wall you just STOP accelerating very abruptly....very very gay...

 

I once (and never again) took my 2000 Si to where the speedometer (which was prolly incorrect) to 143. My car was all over the road, and it took some time on a downhill shot to do it.

I know, it said hatch. But I thought I might share.

 

MY del sol in stock form with the d16z6 didabout 132 once. The car pulled nicely to about 125, where I could feel the wind deflection from the poorly aerodynamically designed del shoe .

I wouldnt advise such speeds without a proper place to do them in, you will need a track with good slow down time, awesome tires and brakes, and tight suspension. I did mine on the interstate with stock replacement tires on stock suspension.....oops

 

in my cx i hit 80 one time hehe and downhill at 98mph but i got a cx with 70 HP!

would be around some 137 MPH

 

I went approximately 145mph (speedo only goes to 130).
It was during a road trip. I had a passanger and a car load of crap.
It had more to give, but I didn't trust the tires.

 

About like 102-105 on the CX motor and somewhere around 130-135 on the B16 and still had 1k to go on the tach.

 

wouldn't that be really bad for the brakes?????
