Default tips on hauling a bike?

Greetings!

My girlfriend and I are going to become full time travelers in a pickup/ 5th wheel configuration. We both love speed so we figure a motorcycle will be the easiest speed to carry around with us. What can you recommend for attaching a motorcycle to the back of a trailer? Or even in the bed of a pickup?

Thanks!

I've transported my bike in a pickup truck before. Roll the bike to the front of the bed until the front tires touched the bed wall. Compress the front forks and tie the center bar assembly to the forward tiedowns. I also tied off the back to the two most rear tie downs. Don't put it on the center stand.

Mike knows what's up. The most important part is to compress the front forks, as this allows significant force to keep the tie-downs taught. Mike's right, no stand is needed. Been doing this for many years.
