OEM Body kit installation question
I'm trying to install the rear lips of the oem body kit. I have the template but I don't have the instructions. I've already drilled the holes for two bottom bolts on each side using the template. How do you know where to drill the holes for the square bolts on the back of the rear bumper? Thanks.
If I rember correctly you just do it by eye. I used to mark the kit part with compound and fit it up to get the best fit. Just can't rember if that was the way to do it or the way i decided to do it. At any rate I would get the kits to fit the best out of the other monkeys around, and it still wasn't perfect.
Ah, I found it, there is an adhesive backed felt washer that you can use to attach to the boss where the square headed bolt goes into. You line up the lower hole in the rear(that you have drilled) and press the kit panel up against the bumper, leaving the washer behind. I think I used the marking compound for times sake, but same same.
Unfortunately when i went to install the rear lips but with a primerd bumper and the stickey o rings wouldnt stick..i had to do it all by eye... but after all that trouble it was worth it...perfect fitment
