i want to upgrade my tweeters to focal's. how do i take the stock ones out and put in new ones. ill ask this is car audio also but i was hoping someone with my accord has done this before..thanks

 

i asked someone at circuit city if it could be done on my 6th gen. he told me it wasn't easy, but it was possible. my advice, have someone do it for you.

 

Circuit city is wrong. super easy

the tweeter covers pop right off. just put a flathead screwdriver under them. if you have an EX then the stock tweeters will have to be unscrewed from the back of the cover. If you have a DX or LX then teh tweeter covers are solid. you will either have to drill holes in the cover to let the sound out or just go to the dealer and buy a set of EX tweet covers.

The tweets are just spliced off of the wiring for the door speakers, you you will need to run new wire. I just left the old wire in place in my car and fished new wire through with a coat hanger. not too difficult

focal are nice, what series are you going with? are you going to run an amp to them?

 

im not sure which series...unfortunately i didnt buy the compnent set to my mb quartz...jus the coxial reference...and i just put in 2 12w6 which is crazy. myhighs are decent but i'd rather upgrade....
