Well, the bailing wire and duct tape is slowly but surely being wound back into its cosmic order by "The Alrighty" after being torn to shreds by an apparent hacker attack a couple of weeks ago. We still have some heavy work to do to revive the server, but the development machine in Texas is almost ready to have its hard drive shipped here to Florida for installation.

Here is a teaser of what is to come... not finalized yet obviously



By the way, for those wondering, because of the hack, we lost only 2 weeks worth of discussion/tech.. thankfully, we still have most everything (info-wise).

As for the get-well date, we are still shooting for the 15th

 

hrrrm some of us were hoping that maybe the old BB software would come back.......but guess not.....oh well i guess some resource is better than none

 

From a server resource perspective, the new style boards are MUCH more efficient, which means a faster board, and a happier user... usually. LoL. Could you imagine if H-T was running on the old board software from the Resource? my, that would be a slow, and VERY expensive board to operate. The new way is good for growth.

 

Were all the user names lost ?

 

Glad to see it back up...even though it wasn't my first stop for tech help anymore, it was still the first place I got into CRX's, so it's a good old standby. Hope to see it up soon.

The only usernames that will be lost are the ones that signed up after Dec 1st.

 

lookin good to me. Untill the resource died, it was the only board (besides clubsi) I was frequently on, now I've spread out to H-T, d series, civicland, etc. Learned alotta ****.. but Im glad I'll FINALLY be able to get my fix of resource again.

By the way, you guys do know that the old-old crx resource board still works right?

It likely will not after this. I am not positive on this, but i do not think that Steve deployed the old board software on the development server he has in Texas. We are swapping hard drives, so the real server will have the development servers HD, so that will likely mean no old-old board We'll see though.
