S2000 seats in Type R
What is needed to put S2000 seats in an integra? Are there any modifications needed or do the seat rails just bolt in directly? Thanks for your input!! and if you have any pics of integras w/ S2000 seats please post! Thanks again and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

They are not a direct bolt in. The front bolt holes line up (once you bend the tabs on the rails down about 45 degrees)but, the rear of the rails do have to be cut, drilled & welded to work properly. Keep in mind when swapping for the S2k seats that they sit about 1.5"-2" lower than stock and while they do "recline", it's only about 15 degrees (not enough to lie back) and they only tilt forward about the same amout so rear passengers will need to slide the seats forward all the way to have access to the rear (but who cares about rear passengers anyways....my car only sees about 2 people per year anyhow!
) You do, however, have a ****-load of front legroom with these seats since the sliders allow you to slide the seats to where the seat backs almost touch the rear seat bottoms. Anyways, my $.02

I have one more question for you. What exactly needs to be welded and drilled? Am I drilling a new hole for the bolts on the rail? Thanks again!
alll you need to do is bend the front 2 ends of the bracket and it should fit just fine.......u can only fit one bolt in the bak....email me for pics i have it in my gsr

Sorry for the blury image (this camera sucks!) but.....here is one of the rear rail ends. I had to remove about 2 inches (they are very long). I then cut a right triangle into the sides so that I could bend the leg down. Next, I tack-welded the seams of the bend along the inside for strength and then drilled the hole to accept the bolt. A quick shot of brake cleaner and then black paint and my rails worked perfectly and looked stock! Good luck!
Hmm I was looking at these for my prelude.
So there isn't much recline? Do you have a pic of it as far as it will go? I don't car if they don't go all the way down, but I gotta be able to drive at least quasi-gangsta style yo!
How do they compare to say Sparco Torinos? They are recaros, but what quality are theyetc etc..

If you want them to fully recline like a stock seat, you will have to swap out the entire metal seat bottoms and hinge assemblies. This is what I did and they work sweet.

When you say swap you mean cut and weld right?

no you cant take off the leather from the bottom and just unbolt everything off the bottom and the recliner and then bolt everything back up from the civic rails..

I've done this, there is NO DRILLING OR WELDING. you swap bottoms with your stock seats (rails, recline mechinisism, metal seat bottom) All you have to do is remove quite a few hog rings and unbolt some stuff, takes about an hour per seat. then it bolts up like an OEM part and you are MUCH safer then just using 3 bolts. I know I wouldnt want my seat to become detached from the floor if i was in an accident.

I just did it in my EG. I'll try to get pics done
