What's the replacements info for the rear speakers in a 1994 civic ex?
I was taking my rear speaker assemble apart a while ago and notice that the two speakers in the rear of my car behind the back seats that are on both sides of the 3rd brake light might be blown. The black fiber around the center of the speaker was like flaked off. Does that mean their blown? But if they are, what information do I need when I go to an audio store to make sure I buy the right replacement speakers or do I just need the speaker size and shape. If anybody knows the info I need to get these speakers replaced, please let me know. It's a 1994 honda civic ex coupe. Sorry if my qustion sounds dumb buy I've been learning about performance forever and the sound system area is new to me.
Should be 6x9's, but maybe 6 1/2's. Not sure it's been along time since i've installed anything. If they look oval then they are the 6x9's, if they look round they are the 6 1/2's.
crutchfeild is right most of the time, but theyre actually 7'' speakers, odd *** honda size, you'll have to buy 6 1/2's but youll have some trouble mounting them centered, i had to offcenter mine to get some of the screw holes to line up...
