Driving lights/ fog lights question
I'm thinking about adding fog / driving lights to my car. Does anyone have a favorite brand to recommend? Also, how difficult is this to do? I understand some integras are pre-wired for a fog light system, it just does'nt have the switch or relay. What should I look for? PIAA, Hella, etc?
I used PIAA 510's. They cost fairly the same around OEM lights. They are much brighter IMO. Installation is a breeze. OEM fogs will be a little more complicated to install due to the fact that you need to install relays, pop steering wheel cover and tap in the light switch.
With aftermarket ones all the relays and swich are wired together. There are 2 holes mounted on the front bumper support already. Make sure you mount them on there and not the plastic bumper. Otherwise expect them to be ganked.

the oem fogs arent hard to wire up. everything is plug and play basically. your integra should be prewired. the hardest part would probably be running the switch to your console. its not that hard really.

My friend got imitation OEM fogs for his 95 Civic coupe from NOPI, only $100 and it's pretty much the same thing as OEM. It even includes a factory wire harness and OEM Honda fog switch, along with illustrated instructions that tell you exactly where to cut your bumper, etc.
I've seen the ones on the Nopi site, I haven't had good luck dealing with them. Very pushy high volume salesmanship & wrong parts shipped. Boo hiss....
List price for the OEM kit is $385.00 My cost is $308.00. Part number # 08V31ST7200

If anyone is intrested I have a Acura OEM factory foglight kit for 94-97 integras. Brand new and complete with all harnesses and relay, switches, etc. in the box, never installed just opened box to check all contents, includes installation instructions. Paid $320.00 Asking $200 Shipped.
They're only $220.00 for the 98-01 tegs at www.ahmotor.com
Why are the 94-97's so expensive anyway? $300+ for OEM's

The 94-97 have the different frontlip. Therefore we don't get the nice raybrigs but we get a different set of fogs that mount into the bumper. For some damn reason they cost more and dont look as good as the 98-01 IMO. Here a link to what the 94-97 fogs look like: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=202000
I got a set of PIAA's because there would be heavy fog on highway 17 sometimes... they work well and not too long after I bought them a pebble flew up and shattered the glass lens (projector)... I called them up to see if I could ORDER a new lamp since I didn't think that would be covered under warranty.. they said no problem and shipped me out a new lens/housing.. I didn't even have to ship back the old one..
OEM are pretty good looking, about the price i called my local Acura dealer and they wanted around 250 for the entire setup its called thomas acura in west covina ca. i did a 98 conversion and i wanted to see how much they were. i got themn for 10 bucks more when i bought my bumper.
i got mine from schucks, cheap **** but i hated the bright yellow light it produced so i metallic painted the lens with RED paint and its awesome! Instead of bright yellow, the fog light is now bright orange..
looks cool, dont flame!

I am using an OEM style fog light by Hella Optilux. It's not fog but driving lights. Been using it for almost a year and a half and no problem, very bright and covers the road left, right and front well. no blinding others. only 37.99 a pair online.
