I was wondering if the type R seats will fit in a 4th gen lude... Do they make brakets for the kit???

I've driven both a 4th gen Prelude VTEC and an Integra Type R. The 4th gen Prelude seats are far superior to the Type R seats in terms of lateral support and comfort. The Type R seats would be a downgrade IMHO.

4th gen seats are no where close to Type R seats, they are cheap and heavy.

Downgrade? how would it be a downgrade? you get way lighter seats, better quality seats, USDM Recaros are around 1700 a seat if you get them from Acura.. I riding in a 4th gen seat and a type R seat, 4 gen seat is softer. but the type R seat acutally holds you in place. I know the UDSM Type R seats will fit an 5thgen lude.. just need to use the stock brackets

I have driven both as well and I like my 4th gen seats better. My friend who owns the R, tells me all the time he likes my seats better.

I have to agree. I bought 4th gen prelude seats to put in my car, and I was pretty dissapointed. I admit they are very nice and do hold you in pretty good. but shoulder support is horrible. If you are just daily driving Im sure it doesn't even matter, but I would prefer more shoulder support which type r seats have.

Here you go - even Type R owners don't like their own seats:

4th Gen Prelude seats own all!

Don't know about type-r seats, but if you want comfort and something that holds you in place, get some celica gt-s seats. They are by far the best stock seats I have ever sat in. I have driven rsx-s, integras, 4th and 5th gen ludes, accords, civics eclipses, you name it.

i have 4th gen lude with momo seats and if the recaro's are anything like the momo seats that i have ..... why would you ever want the skinny non supporting 4th gen seats when you couls have recaro racing seats .... did i mention that the recaro seats are deeper and wider ..... not to much to think about ..
