maybe the C5 blew up..or he sold the C5 block?

who cares.....if it is C1/C5....I guess the more important question is what kind of internals is the car now running?

How do you know its a C1? Looks like a C5 with a STR intake manifold.

It's mostly just a Drag III kit, with some chrome.

The head is from a GSR. I cant tell what the block says though.

The upper radiator hose goes into the head below the vtec solenoid vs. the b16/ITR where it goes in below the dist.

I know that car. The owner sold the B18C5, it is a B18C1 in the car now the internals are all built with forged pistons and rods, but stock sleves. He runs 15 PSI on the street , and the car makes about 350 HP at the wheels.

The owner is a regular at the ITR meets in Toronto

Depends on tuning and maintenance. Gato from Bellotech (ever hear of Eddie Bello?) has a '98 ITR with almost two years running 15 psi on a C5 w/ Eagle rods/JE pistons/stock sleeves. 350+ whp and plenty of wins under its belt. Why so pesimistic Steve?

Didnt eddie bello go to jail?
2 years? how many miles is that?
how does he drive?
those factors make a difference. especially if that car just sees races

Eddie Bello was Exhonerated and all charges were dropped. A few shady characters that were his customers got him into the mess, but he's now operating business as usual, but I think it did cost him his Toyo sponsorship. He's at his shop as we speak.

Daily driver to and from work and all over NYC. Sunoco 94 pump gas all day long

Drives like a savage! 15-20 second rev limiter burnouts, powershifts etc. And he romps on every and any car he can. Even broke a timing belt a while back and surprisingly enough, no damage!
