Default nsx superchargers

my friends dad is about to supercharge his nsx, so i told him id do a little research into the possibilities. i was curious as to what was out there, what the prices where, what kind of power they produce, more interested in the full power band than top end, the amount of boost, and the pluses and minuses of the various possibilities. thanx for your help, links or anything would be appreciated.

There's a couple SC and Turbo kits out there. Fellow NSXer's please chime in if I missed one.

SC
- Comptech
- Basch Boost
- Gruppe M

Turbo
- NSX Modified
- Cybernation
- Bell Engineering
- Gerry Johnson's deal

Out of all of these options though, only two are "mass produced" finished kits: Comptech and Gruppe M. The others are either in beta stage or in pretty low production. Not that is bad, the Basch Boost, Gerry's, and Cybernation look like awesome FI options.

Good luck.

SC
- Comptech - $8900(-10% if you are NSXCA member) - 300-340whp
- Basch Boost - $6500 - 350-400whp
- Gruppe M - $9000(? somewhere around there) - 300-340 whp

Turbo
- NSX Modified - $5000 or so 350whp?
- Cybernation - they claim it'll be less or around $5000 - Claims 400whp but still beta.
- Bell Engineering - Bell sold the right to the kit to cartech. I think cartech is trying to come up with better turbo option since Aerodyne is out of business. -320whp~
- Gerry Johnson's deal - I forgot how much $. - 500whp with all the right parts

I added the pricing and whp value above as well as I could remember. Out of all of them, Comptech has the best reputation for reliability. The some of the others haven't been around enough to prove if they are reliable, but that doesn't mean that they aren't. They all have different characteristics so that'd be a different deciding factor also. For example, Comptech has flat torque through out and much better midrange than Baschboost, but Baschboost has higher peak HP. If you go to http://www.nsxprime.com and do a search, you can get more info and dyno graphs. [/B] [/B]

Make sure you search the separate forum there for Forced Induction.

There's also a lot of information in the FAQ on NSXprime.
